On behalf of our client in the Raleigh area, Procom Services is looking for a Quality Engineer for a 12-month contract with possible extensions.
This is an urgent backfill role as a candidate we had was to interview and would have gotten the role but took another opportunity.
Manager will move quickly on this. Based on this person's profile we are looking for a Test Engineer or QA Engineer with Ruby.

Quality Engineer Job Summary:
The Quality Engineering (QE) team is looking for a Software Quality Engineer to join us in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this role, you''ll have the opportunity to make a difference in the customer experience. You'll gain a deep understanding of a variety of technologies and practices, including Software as a Service, CI/CD, and shift-left testing . You will work closely with developers and the rest of the team to ensure our solutions fulfill the highest possible enterprise quality, performance, usability, and supportability criteria. You''ll create and carry out test plans, research new features, develop automated tests, and maintain and enhance test frameworks. You''ll need to have the ability to think creatively and adapt to rapid change, as well as the willingness to learn new things.
Quality Engineer Primary Responsibilities:
Participate actively in design reviews and story grooming to understand new features and bug fixes.
Create test plans and test cases.
Develop new automated and manual tests; develop and maintain automation frameworks.
Help maintain and improve our continuous testing approach.
Participate in/perform root cause analysis of issues to get a starting point to address problems.
Serve as an internal advocate for our customers.
Take shared responsibility with one or two other Quality Engineers for a customer-facing application and help execute its successful testing in a timely manner.
Provide release readiness information to stakeholders. Be able to communicate your risk assessment to them.
Learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
Quality Engineer Required Skills:
2 years of experience in Quality Engineering
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related engineering field, or relevant professional experience
Ability to design and code complex test cases and to code (or contribute code to) frameworks which simplify test development and automation
Ability to assist in/perform root cause analysis of issues and develop reproducers
Ability to write complex test plans for a feature and provide usable time estimates for completion; ability to identify potential risks connected to test development of assigned feature and mitigate them
Strong experience in automated UI and API testing (Selenium is a plus)
Intermediate knowledge of Ruby and Go (may be able to substitute other object-based languages)
Demonstrable experience with CI/CD (Jenkins is a plus)
Solid skills and background in Linux
Experience with Git or other source control technologies
Ability to work remotely, including an internet connection with sufficient bandwidth for frequent video conferencing
Ability to communicate and collaborate well to build strong relationships across a global team
Solid written and verbal communication skills in English

Quality Engineer Nature: 12-month with possible extensions or conversion
