Job Summary
The Senior IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing complex IT projects across the full project lifecycle. This role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with business objectives. Strong experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance and IT integration projects is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage complex IT projects using Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Oversee all phases of projects including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and within approved budgets.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation including charters, schedules, budgets, risk and communication plans.
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and requirements.
  • Work with business analysts and architects to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
  • Track project performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide regular project status updates, metrics, and risk assessments to leadership and executives.
  • Manage vendors and ensure accountability for deliverables.
  • Identify and manage cross-project dependencies.
  • Ensure compliance with audit, governance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support additional project initiatives as required.

Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience managing complex IT projects.
  • Strong experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance.
  • Hands-on experience managing application and data integration projects.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, PMLC, and project management methodologies.
  • Experience working with Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid delivery models (strong Waterfall experience preferred).
  • Proven ability to manage mid-to-large scale IT projects independently.
  • Experience with project and portfolio management tools such as MS Project, Planview, and SharePoint.
  • Strong vendor management and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into IT deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • CPCU designation or advanced degree.
  • Experience working in matrixed enterprise environments.
