Position: Production Support Engineer Contract/contract to hire and Contract Length: 3-6 months contract to hire (contingent upon performance) Location: Charlotte, NC (onsite/remote rotation) - 1 week onsite and 2 weeks off Top 3 requirements: 3+ years of production support experience Experience with AS 400, IBM Power System, or IBM iSeries PLUS - experience with batch processing Responsibilities: - Providing technical direction including problem resolution, implementation and operational issues - Partners with project leader or manager, as appropriate, to identify technical requirements and alternatives to accomplish tasks, while providing root cause analysis and or impact reports - Works closely with management to meet deadlines - Play lead role as needed in technically complex issues and take accountability for technical quality and workability of solutions - Solve highly technical and complex problems - Transfer knowledge to team members through counseling and consultation
