Position: - Product Owner (Workday)

Job Description:

  • Overall ownership for the ongoing design, deployment, and maintenance of the Workday HCM and/or Finance system
  • Serve as a strong consultative partner to business and functional leaders to continuously improve service delivery
  • Lead governance process, road mapping exercises and cross-functional resource planning
  • Drive the deployment of feature releases and system maintenance, ensuring client requirements are met
  • Evaluate feasibility of system modifications and enhancements
  • Lead the Workday support team ensuring day-to-day systems support is balanced with strategic enhancements and projects
  • Overall accountability for data governance, security and compliance
  • Ensure up-to-date documentation of system functions, processes and capabilities
  • Develop and promote continuous learning within the support team
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Workday and Kronos systems, working with stakeholders to gather and prioritize business requirements, and defining the product vision and strategy for these platforms.
  • Develop and manage the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives, and collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize features and functionality.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, HR, Payroll, and Finance to identify areas for improvement, develop solutions and ensure effective implementation of Workday and Kronos platforms.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Workday and Kronos platforms, providing guidance and support to stakeholders and end-users, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that product releases are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards, and work closely with development teams to track progress and resolve issues.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance, identify opportunities for optimization, and provide recommendations to improve user experience and system efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technology advancements, and regulatory changes, and incorporate these into product strategy and roadmap planning.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management or product ownership, with a focus on enterprise systems such as Workday and Kronos.
  • Strong understanding of Finance, HR, Payroll, and Timekeeping processes and systems.
  • Certifications in Workday is a plus.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to develop and prioritize product roadmap and feature backlog.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage product releases and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
  • Experience related to implementation and management of enterprise HR or Financials applications.
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages with all levels in the organization, including breaking down complex topics for target audiences.
  • Ability to understand business priorities and align technology opportunities

  • Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution
  • Ability to motivate and set the direction for a team
