POS ANALYST 

Duration: 6-month contract to hire 

Location: Onsite (Indianapolis, IN)- Relocation is okay.

Job Summary

Provide leadership and continuous improvement for design, development, support and testing of POS systems in restaurants. Ensure quality and performance in relation to retail technology project testing and implementation. Manage security optimization and process documentation to ensure a safe and stable operating environment.

 

Role

• Perform POS Software Configuration updates based on business requirements. These can be through POS configurator tools, database changes, etc. Test Changes as needed.

• Manage enhancements and/or patches to POS and other store software, including requirements gathering, document changes, communicate information with vendor, test, and implement updates

• Develop and communicate project plans and milestones for implementing POS upgrades along with appropriate project tracking, issue management, risk management, change control, and status reporting

• Evaluate, recommend, test, pilot, and hardware platforms and vendors

• Publish and maintain appropriate technical documentation for the POS systems

• Travel to sites to evaluate performance of hardware/software, gather input from users, and provide appropriate training when necessary

• Identify process and system improvements for POS systems

• Manage vendor relationships, staff, and business functions as they relate to the POS systems

 

Required Skills

• Ability to effectively communicate with restaurant and corporate staff

• Strong technical leadership and familiarity with POS systems. NCR Aloha experience is a plus

• Ability to identify technical solutions that address the business issues and implement technical solutions

• Knowledge of mobile applications (retail apps) is a plus

• Ability to analyze, define and document business, system and data processes, and deliver solutions within the POS systems

• Extensive market knowledge and experience of POS systems and maintain interest and technical competency

• Extensive knowledge and experience implementing POS solutions and projects

• Extensive experience in a customer-focused, process-oriented restaurant or retail environment

• Collaborative, team-oriented, positive attitude

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
