Job Description :

JOB DESCRIPTION: Consults with appropriate staff to develop requirements and specifications for applications. Implements developed applications and provides customer support of applications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Six years of information technology experience OR a bachelor's degree and four years of information technology experience. May require a knowledge of one or more programming languages and/or a knowledge of an application and application tools.

  • Works independently to provide functional analysis and then design and implement technical solutions.
  • Consults with clients and team members to develop requirements and specifications for enterprise applications. Implements developed applications and provides customer support.
  • Consults with customers to understand business problems and develop technical solutions. Works with end users to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Provides technical expertise on applications, technical tools and software.
  • Analyzes and resolves problems resulting from vendor fixes and upgrades.
  • May lead small projects and resolve software or business-related problems.
  • Create reports with application/technical tools.
  • Deliver work products with a high degree of customer service skill.

Successful candidates will possess strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills and will possess the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. They must have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy solving problems, with an attention to detail. They need to have experience working in a complex environment with many projects and tools employed. They must be comfortable working with ambiguity and be curious about the business implications of technical implementations. It is critical that they be able to accommodate changing priorities and deadlines. The candidate should have an aptitude for mastering new software, applications and databases.

Ideal candidates will have experience working on various technologies including and advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Power BI, relational database (Oracle), project management software, technical reporting tools (PL/SQL Developer, Toad, Visual Studio, Crystal Reports, Tableau and CRM systems).

Prior experience in advancement, fundraising, alumni engagement, non-profit or university settings would be very helpful. Other specific product experience of value: Ellucian Advance, Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Anthology/iModules, VanillaSoft, Graduway, EverTrue, Pursuant/Advizor, etc.

Required Skills : Doing a lot of data querying, a lot of data interfacing going into the systems Using PL/SQL, a lot of requests come through via email and they want groups of entities based on certain criteria. Will need to narrow down the requirements and will pull the data, with a peer review, a lot of adhoc querying and showing through Excel Need someone who will be curious with the user about why they need the requests and questioning it 5-10 years of experience Ellucian is a HUGE advantage
