Description:
Technical maintenance of applications that are based on Oracle-Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management products using ESSBASE, Planning, Financial reporting, SmartView and Oracle RDBMS for metadata management.
Application maintenance shall include troubleshooting and problem resolution, application enhancements, day-to-day system/applications operation and recurring maintenance activities and technical assistance for the customer community.
Application enhancements, modifications or new development shall include all phases of development cycle: planning and analysis, system design, programming, testing, implementation, deployment, documentation and training for primary users.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Under the supervision of the Corporate Application Manager the successful candidate, an experienced Hyperion Programmer/Developer with solid technical skills, will ensure the operability and availability of all associated applications for the end-user community and the first-hand technical assistance to the primary customers.
· Technical maintenance support for Hyperion Planning, ESSBASE, Financial Reporting, Data Relationship Management (data & metadata), ODI tools used for maintaining multiyear budgeting and forecasting applications.
· Application administration, installation, configuration, backup setup, disaster recovery, analysis and diagnostic services for ensuring the integrity and compatibility of applications modifications with the installed Hyperion supported version; particular knowledge and experience in installation and configuration of Oracle-Hyperion EPM in a distributed environment on Windows physical servers.
· Administration and managing User and Group Security utilizing ESSBASE Shared Services.
· Migration of EPM artifacts, Load Rules, Business Rules, Forms, Calc Scripts, report scripts, etc. from Test to QA to Production using LCM.
· Collaborate with various teams for data analysis and identifying critical business problems and potential areas of opportunity for improvements and produce analysis to senior management.
· Investigate, research and evaluate new budgeting and planning practices that may enhance or improve existing applications and provide valuable business benefits to the Agency.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Candidates must possess a bachelor''s degree in computer science, programming or engineering and at least 4 years professional experience performing Oracle-Hyperion EPM programming/development.
· Knowledge and Experience in analysis, design, optimization and administration of Oracle-Hyperion EPM products
· Knowledge and experience supporting and building integration methodologies using standard ETL for batch-oriented integration and real-time integration through ODI and windows batches and scheduling.
· Knowledge and experience in performance tuning and optimizations for data/dimension loads, ESSBASE database restructuring, calculations, overall ESSBASE performance., restructuring cubes for defragmentation.
· Knowledge and experience working with ESSBASE Shared Services, Lifecycle management, Metadata management, platform support for Hyperion EPM applications.
· Knowledge and exposure to the entire SDLC from Requirements, Design, Development, Testing and Production Support.
· Knowledge and experience in trouble shooting, maintaining and preparing technical documents and assisting training the clients.
· Knowledge and experience supporting and maintaining multiple environments (Development, Quality, Production) for Oracle-Hyperion EPM; Involved in the migration of application artefacts, Business Rules, Forms, Calc Scripts etc. from Test to Production using LCM.
· Knowledge and experience with Smart View software installation, software usage and client support.
· Knowledge and experience creating and maintaining Functional and Technical documentation on business processes including process flows, use cases, functional specifications and traceability.
· Knowledge and experience Supporting daily, weekly, month end and year end business processes
· Experience handling daily ad-hoc service calls, troubleshooting and resolution
· Good understanding of HR, Payroll, Accounting, Finance, Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting systems.
Must possess following Technical Skills:
1. LANGUAGES: SQL, PL/SQL, Shell Scripting, ESS commands, MAXL, MDX, Windows batch scripting
