Job Description:
· Infosys is seeking a Senior Database Administrator. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty; be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
· At least 8 years of Information Technology experience
· Min 8 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration as primary skill

· Required Skill:
· Installation, configuration, patching, upgradation, migration & administration Databases for Oracle 11g, 12c,18c, 19c and above
· Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC+ASM setup & administration, table partitioning, database links and Oracle’s parallel execution features
· Provides support for troubleshooting and maintenance of databases using Oracle technologies
· Install and configure packaged vendor-based systems
· Implement and upgrade database management system as business needs demand
· Administer database security according to documented procedures
· Perform periodic database maintenance, including patching, regular database backup and recovery procedures, and disaster recovery tests
· Work with RMAN backup/recovery and data pump export/import utility & Database Cloning
· Monitor database performance fine tuning and query optimization
· Work with Oracle GoldenGate replication tools - heterogeneous replication setup
· DataGuard/standby database to maintain disaster recovery environments for business continuity
· Experience with OEM 13c / Oracle resource monitoring tools & shell scripting
· Perform on-going support on database issues and ticket management
· Good knowledge in Shell scripting
· Exposure to SAP environment
· Perform other specific Database administration duties as defined in Working Practices
· Provide after hours and on-call support to critical databases.
· Flexible work schedule and availability to work during US core business hours
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
· At least 4 years of experience in Project life cycle activities on support and maintenance projects.
· Secondary skill : PostgreSQL
· Experience in PostgreSQL Database administration, design, operating systems administration.
· Practical knowledge and experience in all aspects of PostgreSQL database administration including Installations, Patching and Upgrading the PostgreSQL server.
· Good expose on PostgreSQL architecture.
· Experience in replication setup with Streaming or other replication tools.
· Configuration of steaming, cascading and cross site replications.
· Database performance tuning, Troubleshooting database issues and memory tuning.
· Proficient with Backup and Recovery using hot and cold physical backup and recovery & traditional utilities like Pg_dump,pg_dump all, pg_basebackup and pg_restore utilities.
· Experience on planning and Routine Maintenance Tasks (Vacuum & vacuum full) and Moving data.
· Load balancing, Connection pooling and Master/slave replication in pgbouncer and pgpool.
· Experience on generate log analysis report in pgbagder.
· Automate repetitive tasks, such as database deployments, database health reports.
· Database performance tuning, Trouble shooting database issues, Basic knowledge on PSQL and PG/PLSQL.
· Performing on Routine Maintenance Tasks and Moving data.
· PGADMIN III &IV monitoring to postgres database.
· Perform the database Cloning using users manage.
· Load balancing, Connection pooling and Master/slave replication in Pgpool and pgbadger.
· Additional Skills:
· The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time.
· Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
· Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
