Mandatory Skills

Oracle 19c Database administration on AWS RDS - designing, deploying and maintaining fault-tolerant, highly available, highly performant, OLTP/e-commerce applications, including monitoring and performance tuning using ASH/AWR/SQL Plan baselines, SQL query construction (multi-table joins) and optimization, PL/SQL development
DR/HA expertise using RDS Multi-AZ, Oracle Golden Gate 19c Active/Active cross regional replication
Linux expertise with command-line skills, shell scripting, networking, security (AWS VPC/subnet/security groups etc) and strong scripting skills in Python, Java or related languages
Strong communication skills; inquisitive, motivated, passionate, proactive and effectively collaborate across multiple functional teams including Oracle/AWS support, Production on-call; agile processes, incident/problem management, RCA

Good to have

AWS Infrastructure as code using Python and automation of Oracle RDS using Terraform, Cloudformation, Codepipeline, Jenkins and related technologies
Experience with Big data platforms - MPP/Columnar databases such as Redshift, Hive, ETL pipelines and Datalakes on AWS S3
Experience with NoSQL (AWS DynamoDB etc) and other RDBMS technologies such as MySQL/Postgres (AWS Aurora)
