Systems Developer for our client in Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be able to work on W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

 

Job Description:

  • Senior Systems M365 Office Developer accountable for M365 Apps for enterprise endpoint upgrades from 32bit to 64bit Office architecture. The resource is responsible with being a subject matter expert for macros in MS Excel and Access DBs compatibility matters to support the M365 Apps for enterprise upgrade. The role requires extensive technical capabilities as well as the ability to work with a team of senior technical professionals in a high paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategy to accommodate for line of business macros, add-ins, etc.
  • Take a leadership role in shaping service design direction
  • Partner and mentor with other engineers and consultants to share knowledge and experience
  • Work with M365 Engineering, service and product managers to identify / document required changes for compatibility to M365 Apps for enterprise upgrades.
  • Demonstrates the ability to prioritize workload to meet project deadlines.
  • Works well independently as well as in a dynamic, collaborative environment

Required Skills:

  • More than 5 years of experience in design, development and implementation of MS Excel MS Access/VBA based Applications, macros, Office Add-ins.
  • Ability to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems when upgrading from a 32bit to 64 bit architecture.
  • Experience in migration of databases to MS Access utilizing tables, queries, forms, reports, macros, and modules.
  • Experience in redesigning, maintaining and supporting existing applications and tools especially in MS Excel and MS Access.
  • Experience in Advanced MS Excel and its features like Pivot Tables, Charts, Functions, etc.
  • Experience in extracting, transforming and exporting data between different RDBMS and from flat file to Excel and vise-versa.
  • Experience with MS Excel or MS Access VBA to send system generated e-mails, manage and report embedded Excel documents.
  • Proven experience with SQL and Oracle DBs and troubleshooting connections after an Office upgrade.
  • Proven background translating cell formulas in Excel into VBA code.
  • Experience with creating Macros for Business Development.
  • Automating, modifying, and optimizing reports in MS Excel & MS Access.
  • Experience in the development of financial applications using MS Excel and MS Access.
  • Ensure that solutions are innovative, thorough, practical and consistent with organizational objectives.
  • Extensive knowledge and applied experience with:
    • Office 365 Professional Plus x64 bit
    • Windows OS environment (Windows 10)
  • Exceptional communication and personal skills, both written, verbal and while presenting to groups
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
  • Self-managed and motivated individual with strong leadership skills
  • Ability to grasp new concepts and quickly adapt to a changing environment
  • Detail oriented and quality focused
  • Possess a strong customer service focus.

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and/or extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in a Technology related field
  • Interacts well with diverse groups within function and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators
  • ITIL Certified (Preferred)
  • 5+ years in a financial, health or insurance industry (Preferred)
