position: Occupational Health System Project Manager

The Important Stuff:
- MUST meet the required qualifications noted in JD and demonstrated on resume.
- Must work PST hours M-F 8-5
- Must have RECENT and relative Healthcare PM experience with the required technologies.
- Process: 2-3 Interviews, approval process, equipment checkout.
- Primarily Remote with the expectation that the contractor be on-site to attend any in-person meetings and support activities for assigned projects as needed.
- Resource will be responsible for any travel expenses to be on-site for in person meetings, which will be very minimal and limited. Travel time will not be considered work time.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Required:
• Extensive project planning, leadership and analysis experience with significant advanced
experience as a Project Manager leading large scale IT projects independently is required.
• Ability to manage and lead diverse groups, peers, vendors and a wide variety of technical and
non-technical staff at all levels in a highly matrix environment to meet project milestones and
schedules.
• Understands how projects relate to other business strategies and initiatives.
• Understands the cost impact of projects, project tracking tools and metrics.
• Ability to work independently, set priorities, organizes work, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and personal initiative, and accept responsibility for
decision and actions.
• Ability to create and manage time schedules, manages multiple activities and priorities, and
maintains productivity.
• Demonstrated capacity to anticipate obstacles and plan for contingencies.
• Skills to analyze complex information or problems in an objective manner and derives logical
conclusions to provide a sound basis for establishing priorities, selecting appropriate courses of
action for pursuit or recommendations to others, and to resolve.
• Excellent communicator; comfortable and effective in opening channels of communication,
listening to others, and cultivating a healthy, productive, and ongoing dialogue.
• Ability to communicate with all levels within and outside of IT, include application and
technology vendors.
• Demonstrated effective writing skills including the ability to analyze data from multiple sources,
conduct research, perform analysis of diverse information, and prepare and present meaningful
reports and briefs.
• Sound understanding of typical vendor provided application agreements for on-going support,
maintenance updates, application upgrades, and end-of-product support.
• Ability to recognize the need for and maintain security of confidential information; exercise
judgment, tact, and discretion in handling sensitive or confidential information or situations.
Preferred:
• Relevant PM Certification or education (PMP or equivalent).
• Ten years of Project Management experience preferred.
• Experience in Occupation Health systems such as Point and Click, Enterprise Health
• Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Project, Smartsheet or other project management tools.
• Academic institution or large integrated health system experience preferred.
• Experience leading projects with contractors/consultants preferred.
• Experience with system interfaces is preferred.
• Working knowledge of technology-related initiatives and an understanding of impact to the
organization of such initiatives
• Knowledge and understanding of University policies and procedures is preferred
