Role-NG911 IT Security Architect
Location-2 MetroTech Center, 4th Floor, Brooklyn, NY 11201
Scheduled Work Hours: Monday Through Friday (not including a mandatory unpaid meal break after 6 hours of work), 35 hours
Projected Assignment Start/End Date:-Projected Start Date – December 12, 2022
SCOPE OF SERVICES:
Develop a strategic firewall security architecture, including standards and frameworks that are aligned with NG911 strategy using the current technology roadmap.
Develop Next Gen firewall architecture designs and configurations.
Provide expert Information Security firewall architecture, leadership, analytical guidance for technical framework.
Define Information Security firewall architecture and security controls.
Identifying firewall integration gaps in firewall architecture/platform firewalls for information security standards.
Assist Information Security Engineering team and the PSAC environments for NG911 to evaluate and design security solutions such as NGFW Infrastructure, DNS/DNSSEC and Data Loss prevention technology.
Ensure all parts of the technical design are securely incorporated and provide quality control through all stages of the NG911 program.
Develop appropriate assurance levels, firewalls, policy, Next Generation threat prevention designs, SSL encryption/decryption strategies, vulnerabilities, content filtering and perimeter security controls.
MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered
• At least 12 years of experience in information security and/or IT risk management with a focus on security, performance, and reliability.
• Ability to interact with a broad cross-section of personnel to explain and enforce security measures.
• Good working knowledge of current IT risks and experience implementing security solutions.
• Provide expert Information Security architecture, leadership, analytical guidance for technical framework.
• Ensure technical design incorporate security and provide input into various enterprise architecture.
• Assist Information Security Engineering team to evaluate and design security solutions such as NGFW, DNS/DNSSEC, Cisco ISE, proxy, cloud solution, and Data Loss prevention technology.
• Review system security controls and design necessary enhancements.
DESIREABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as business acumen and a professional outlook. (Highly Desired)
• Possess one of the following: CISSP or CRISC Certification. (Highly Desired)
