Location: Reston, VA (remote).
Duration: 12 months with extension.

The MicroStrategy Administrator is responsible for administering MicroStrategy environments integrated with Big Data in the Cloud.

Responsibilities:

Help with performance tuning and developing best practices
Provide support to cross teams and cross projects with deployment and upgrade including troubleshooting of incidents to maintain the required service level.
Work on complex, major or highly visible tasks in support of multiple projects that require multiple areas of expertise in an Enterprise environment
Administer MicroStrategy in Linux environments (on-prem and in Cloud) including but not limited to install, setup, upgrade, code migration, tuning, optimization, and data investigation
Automation experience is a plus

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in administration and support of MicroStrategy environments
5+ years of experience in a Linux and Apache processing environment
5+ years of experience with Unix shell scripting, SQL, PL/SQL
Experience working with and/or building automation tools, both for configuration and testing
Hands on experience with installation and configuration of MicroStrategy suite of products
Hands on experience with creating MicroStrategy user roles from LDAP groups and secure projects as per security guidelines
Support MicroStrategy configurations with database technologies like Cloudera, Redshift, Aurora Postgres
Working knowledge of server operating systems, server hardware primarily in RedHat Enterprise Linux
Must be able to benchmark systems and analyse system bottlenecks in a hybrid environment and propose solutions to eliminate them.
Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins
Ability to attend to high priority production support incidents and provide root cause
Ability to work and collaborate in a fast pace and multi-tasking in an Enterprise and virtual environment
Excellent communication and team oriented individual
Excellent in debugging, monitoring, and troubleshooting with across teams, with bug fixes, software upgrades and escalations.
MicroStrategy Certification is a plus
