Mainframe DB2 Database Administrator:
Interpersonal communication skills sufficient to effectively interact with customer staff and other contract personnel. Technical writing skills to document work performed and maintenance instructions. Provides performance monitoring and tuning.
Skills: Experienced in the set-up and maintenance of one or more of the following database systems in a Mainframe z/OS operating systems environment: DB2.
Database experience consists of creating table space areas, tables and views, logical and physical database design. Knowledge about monitoring and performance improvements.
Knowledge of database maintenance procedures including Load, Reorg, Image copy, Runs tats, Recovery. Proficient in the internals of a large-scale operating system. Knowledge of interface with Cobol and Java programming languages.
