Role: Mainframe Data Conversion Analyst
Visa: USC AND GC
Location: Omaha, NE or Berkeley Heights, NJ

Job Summary:
Must Haves:
• Analyze the files, and where they map - they need to understand mapping and how it works
o Example: Map Field A and Map to Field B
? 1 Field to map 3
? Code B goes to Code X
? Monetary Balances
o Experience converting data (preferred in the card issuing space)
o Writing a set of mapping specs they they provide to programmer
? They have internal tools to help them with data and how the files match
? Work with the programmer and act as the conduit to the client
o Take requirements from the client
? Client: This is how we want you to fit them into our process
? Need to communicate
? Think on their feet
o Monitor and track issues logs, Milestones on a project
o PM / BA - Managing some Developers
o Selling Client to Banking - they may interface with both
Desired Skills
• Experience with Card Issuing
• Former COBOL developers
Responsiblities:
• Technical data mapping analysis.
• Deliver and execute conversion project deliverables for the full project life cycle from initiation through project closure.
• Specific duties may include:
o Designing and documenting complex technical requirements for business applications.
o Partnering with business analysts to identify business needs and appropriate technical solutions.
o Creating data conversion mapping specifications.
o Ensuring quality of data conversion output (data, files, reports, statements, plastics, etc.) including holding quality inspections
o Validating offline System and Output testing of data conversion files.
o Planning and participating in mocks and other client events in conjunction with client and Client partners.
o Building partnerships with clients, product owners, application development teams, and program management colleagues.
o Adhering to internal processes and best practices.
o Monitoring and reporting progress
o Identifying risks and issues; manage and escalate appropriately.
Qualifications for Consideration:
• 4 Year college degree required. Focus in CIS/MIS, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or Statistics.
• 5 + years of experience in COBOL, Mainframe applications, IBM JCL, and TSO/TPX. preferred
• 5 + years of experience in previous IT or Business Analysis experience.
• Experience in converting to new processing platforms, preferred.
• Experience with Client Optis production programs and processes preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office suite with heightened focus on Excel or SQL.
• Ability to determine estimates of effort and impacts on a variety of solutions.
• Credit Card Issuing industry experience preferred
• Developed analytical and problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail including the ability to analyze and/or code data from different platforms in order to integrate the data into a Client platform.
• Experience in testing and validation of output, reports, and financial balancing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Proactive communicator of project status, issues and risks
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to manage rapid change in a fast-paced environment; ability to deal with ambiguity; self-starter
