Job Title : Cisco Network Administrator

Position Overview
The client is seeking a highly skilled Cisco Network Administrator to design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will hold an active CCIE (written and practical) certification and possess deep technical expertise in Cisco networking technologies, routing protocols, and VXLAN environments. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, hands-on implementation experience, and the ability to lead complex network projects while ensuring minimal service disruption.
Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, and optimize enterprise networks using multiple routing protocols, including RIP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, L3 VPN, L2 VPN, and ISIS.
Oversee network architecture, ensuring reliability, scalability, and high availability across LAN/WAN environments.
Manage and implement Cisco VXLAN solutions and related Cisco technologies.
Lead network projects from planning through execution, acting as a technical escalation point for complex issues.
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure efficient network operations and service delivery.
Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of diverse network technologies to support enterprise connectivity.
Conduct analysis and troubleshooting to maintain optimal network performance and security.
Demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness in developing and implementing network solutions that meet business and technical objectives.
Required Qualifications
Education: GED or higher.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of IT/network administration experience and at least 6 years in network design and implementation.
Certification: Must hold a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) – written and practical.
Strong proficiency in routing, switching, and advanced Cisco technologies (VXLAN, MPLS, EIGRP, BGP).
Proven experience maintaining complex enterprise systems involving LANs, WANs, and hybrid network topologies.
Excellent collaboration, communication, and vendor management skills.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Preferred Skills
Expertise with the Cisco product line and modern enterprise networking solutions.
Experience implementing and supporting VXLAN, BGP, and EIGRP configurations.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in high-availability environments.
