This is a full-time, remote/work from home position.
As a Lead DevOps Engineer this person will drive the planning, design, implementation, and testing of AWS Cloud -based production system.
Summary:
In this role, you will develop software products for larger, more complex stories spanning multiple technology domains. You will provide technical guidance over the design, implementation, and delivery of infrastructure. You will manage the infrastructure on the AWS cloud. You will implement infrastructure monitoring, reporting and alerting systems. You will support the core tools utilized by development including CM, CI, IDE, Project Management and collaboration tools.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, enhance, code, test, deliver and debug software independently.
  • Build and release management activities, execution of batch runs, data load jobs, etc. across Dev, QA, and Prod environments
  • Shell scripting and SQL queries and in managing app servers, Linux box and log tracing
  • Setting up CICD pipeline using tools like Jenkins, Terraform, Rally, Github, Sonar Cube, Selenium, etc.
  • Significant experience administering AWS environments with a keen understanding of security principles and best practices.
  • Create and maintain CI/CI pipelines.
  • Deployment using containers and orchestration services.
  • Platform support for production and development environments.
  • Code check-in for deployment configurations, Infrastructure as a code (AWS CloudFormation), CI/CI pipeline configuration in GitLab.
  • Set up dashboard and monitoring alerts (AWS Cloud).
  • Implementing best practices for devops/build and release management activities
  • Implementing patches and remediation fixes for network and application vulnerability
  • Responsible for large, complex stories spanning multiple technology domains.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge to facilitate and lead story breakup and grooming.
  • Provide development guidance and support to less experienced colleagues.
  • Help drive architecture and design sessions at a feature level.
  • Participate in architecture and design sessions at product level.
  • Keep management informed of technical trends and emerging technology.
  • Meet training requirements, follow established procedures, proposes new procedures.
  • Improve procedures and standards when the opportunity arises.

Compensation:

  • Compensation includes a base salary of $136,200 - 174,100. Salary may vary outside of the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidates experience.
  • Position is eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business or equivalent work experience
  • 10 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • In-depth knowledge of Jenkins, including Jenkins Plugins, Maven, NodeJS, docker tools.
  • Knowledge of DevOps, Automation & Orchestration including bash, Jenkins, and Github.
  • Hands-on experience building and managing release systems, CI/CD workflows and tools.
  • Experience with CI Server (Jenkins), Github, Artifactory, and Build tools including maven, gradle, npm, docker.
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills.
