Junior DBA Location: Middletown, NJ (need locals) Type: W2 Candidate must have excellent communication skills, must be able to express technical details to others and be flexible to work on multiple projects at the same time. Candidate w/one to two years of industry experience will be ideal. Good Database Administration skills including MySQL, Oracle and some understanding of MS SQL Server Some database development skills desired Must have some understanding of Disaster Recovery tools / features like Replication, Data Guard, Golden Gate, etc. Must be familiar with the concept of database backup and restore methodologies including RMAN and/or Avamar Knowledge of shell scripting, Linux OS, Python and monitoring implementation will be a huge plus. Understanding of database performance tuning desired Candidate should be a quick learner Preferably a four year college degree Standard 8am-5pm ET working hours desired but some flexibility available.
