Job Title: Senior SQL DBA / Architect with Azure
Location: NY, NY (98+% remote)

Job Description:

Sr. MSSQL DBA with Azure experience

Minimum 10 years of experience as a SQL DBA
Strong understanding of MSSQL, SQL Server
Hands-on working experience in a Windows Azure environment
Extensive working experience migrating data into Azure
Physical source MSSQL servers and HA clusters
SQL Server AlwaysOn
Good communications skills

Must have hands on experience with:

MSSQL Server on Azure VM
Azure backups and other MSSQL backup techniques
Solutions for monitoring Azure infrastructure and SQL server databases
MSSQL migration techniques and tools
PowerShell scripting
SQL Server high availability technologies, such as Always On Availability Groups, Clustering, Replication, etc.

A big plus:

SQL Server or Azure certifications
Experience in database and application performance tuning
Azure PaaS experience – migrating to, monitoring and managing after migration
