Job Role: Linux System Administrator
Job Location: San Jose, CA
Job Duration: Long Term

A candidate that is strong in server Hardware, Red hat operating system, server network troubleshooting and knowledge of cloud.

Skills Required:
6+ years of strong experience supporting enterprise Linux infrastructure.
Strong Experience in Red Hat and Ubuntu/Oracle Linux implementations and administration.
Good understanding of Unix fundamentals, web protocols, storage, networking and load balancing.
Working experience in Virtualization, private cloud (OpenStack) and KVM environments.
Solid understanding and Strong Server Hardware expertise, specific X86 and Linux operating system, including the automated installation, jumpstart, kickstart configuration, etc.
Supporting the development/QA teams including setting up the development/QA environments, creating users, home directories and troubleshoot day-to-day issues like performance problems, login issues, etc.
Large scale project experience and Good understanding of virtualization technologies.
Experience supporting Docker containers, Xen in a high availability environment highly desirable.
Experience with F5 and AVI Load Balancers required.
Server level Network Troubleshooting and Experience supporting enterprise-class monitoring like Nagios or any other monitoring tools for network/systems/application monitoring, ability to write custom scripts/plugins for custom monitoring a plus.
Project Management and Reporting, ability to interface/support customers during the development/pre-production integration testing.
Experience managing NFS, block storage Cinder volumes, automount, Sendmail, DNS, LDAP, DHCP, TFTP in Linux.
Unix shell scripting on bash or bourne shell, Ansible, puppet or any automation tools, Perl & Python a plus.
Strong technical/analytical and Server Level Network troubleshooting skills.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written across all user levels. Ability to create simple procedural documents.
Good team player, self-starter, goal oriented, open minded, flexible and customer focused
Knowledge and ideas on how to build infrastructure, support & monitor and bring in efficiency in every possible way.
Good problem-solving abilities focus on quality.
Self-directed work style with minimum supervision.
