OB DESCRIPTION

1. Skilled, experienced Informatica upgrade professional to provide support and training for an on premises Informatica 10.5.2 upgrade from version 10.4.1,

specifically:

a. PowerExchange (PWX) server for Oracle Express CDC and z/OS Mainframe CDC (IMS and VSAM).
b. PWX Navigator Client.
c. PowerExchange for Power Center (PWXPC) software; and
d. PowerCenter (PC) Server and Client.
2. Develop run books for all 4 z/OS mainframe and 4 Oracle Express CDC Linux environments along with staging and prep work.
3. Create a schedule and work breakdown structure (WBS) for all activities and dependencies related to the upgrade.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Informatica PowerExchange (PWX) on premises.
  2. Creating PWX upgrade run books for z/OS Mainframe and Oracle Express CDC Linux environments.
  3. z/OS DEV/TEST environments - PWX Configuration and upgrade including a full install; creating all new *.DEV.* dataset names; and splitting DEV out from existing TEST libraries.
  4. z/OS STEST & PROD PWX Configuration and upgrade using existing, complex Mainframe datasets.
  5. z/OS DEV/TEST/STEST/PROD - Install PWX patches – to provide IMS 15.2 support, etc.
  6. Oracle Express CDC - DEV/TEST/STEST/PROD - PWX Configuration and upgrade – new v10.5.2/etld1 libraries.
  7. Oracle Express CDC - DEV/TEST/STEST/PROD – Install PWX patches.
  8. PWXPC upgrade/configuration for DEV, STEST and TEST servers – upgrade in-place.
  9. PWXPC upgrade/configuration for PROD servers – upgrade in-place.
  10. PC upgrade/configuration for DEV, STEST and TEST servers – upgrade in-place.
  11. PC upgrade/configuration for PROD servers – upgrade in-place.
  12. Mapping complex CDC sources and targets.
  13. Preparing configuration and installation libraries before cut over.
  14. Testing and debugging skills.
  15. Informatica PowerCenter (PWC) on premises.
  16. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present and communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely, both orally  and in writing, to diverse audiences which includes  project team members and IT management.
  17. Must be available some nights and weekends for supporting deployments; testing; and debugging.
  18. Skill in interpersonal relationships, including the ability to work with people under pressure, negotiate among  multiple parties and resolve conflicts.
  19. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in data processing, computer  science, business administration, or a related field.  
  20. Experience working with state government agencies.
