Your role
Do you have a knack for leading a Technical team? Are you experienced in Compliance applications in an Financial Services environment? Are you willing to be the bridge between business & IT leading a team of developers? We’re looking for someone like that who can help us:
– Support a portfolio of 20+ Compliance and Operational risk applications
– Work with SPM & PM to determine required IT business solutions and assist in implementing them
– Lead business analyst to conduct requirements-gathering activities using a variety of internal and external data and conducting stakeholder interviews
– design pragmatic software solutions to address business problems, while considering the strategic future state model
– build functional solutions with supporting data analysis
– act as the primary contact between the business users and technology team before, during and after the project implementations.
– assist in quality control and project management
Your team
You’ll be working in the Compliance & Operational Risk Control IT team based in Weehawken supporting critical regulatory applications. Our role is to design and implement innovated IT solutions to meet Client regulatory commitments. You will be part of a larger team that is responsible for delivering WMA Regulatory IT program - supporting the multiple activity.
You have:
Multi-year experience working on design and development of enterprise software in a distributed environment within the financial services industry - preferably in investment banking and compliance related projects
Good functional/business knowledge and ability to connect dots in business needs/requirements
Relevant work experience/context – regulatory compliance related technology projects, working in distributed teams, multi-phase projects, etc.
Solid experience in compliance reporting especially Instances of having worked on projects related to regulatory compliance
Experience in applying business analysis techniques and the ability to interpret a set of technical requirements and develop robust solutions (you know what they really want)
Excellent data analysis skills and the ability to query/work with data (e.g. writing SQL queries) to facilitate requirements capture
Experience in network connectivity (e.g.: FTP/SFTP/Connect: Direct etc with various regulatory organizations and third party service providers
Strong verbal communication skills with an ability to tailor style to the audience
You are:
Well versed with software development life cycle, configuration management, source code management, software release processes and ITIL framework
Hands on experience in Mainframe technology including JCL,CICS,DB2,Cobol, VSAM file management
Hands on experience in utilities such as Syncsort, IDCAMS and other IBM utilities
Hands on experience in the development and testing of Cobol-DB2 stored procedures that interact with Apache Tomcat and IBM WebSphere.
Familiar with enterprise report management tools such as IBM PageCenter
Hands on experience with tools such as ChangeMan, OPC, SPUFI, Startool etc.
Familiarity with distributed languages like Java & Oracle Database skills
Exposure to Autosys, UNIX scripting will be plus.
Familiar with data processing using data interchange formats such as XML, JSON etc.
Able to work with vendor partners and other consultants.
Adaptable, able to work across diverse teams and functions across multiple cultures
Willing to provide on-call production support after office hours
able to demonstrate facilitative approach to issue resolution and show willingness to cross role boundaries to achieve desired outcomes
