Hadoop Architect
Client: Blackrock
Term: 6 Month
Client Location: New York – Position can be remote but if you find anyone in the NY area that’s a BIG plus.
Description: We have a customer seeking a Hadoop Architect for a 3 month assignment to work remotely but preferably located in New York City. Our customer is engaged with a financial services client to support the migration of their on-premises data center infrastructure to Microsoft Azure including the network, core shared services, and 100 client environments. We ar e seeking a seeking a Hadoop Architect to implement encryption-in-transit on 5 Hadoop clusters for a financial services client; usetechnical knowledge to drive the delivery of the cloud platform infrastructure;and assist Technical Team Lead with deliverables assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Experience using Hadoop technologies (HDFS, Hive, Impala, Map Reduce, Spark, Python, etc)
Exposure working with HBase.
Excellent analytical capabilities - Strong interest in algorithms
Database, SQL, ETL and data analysis skills would be a plus
3 to 5 years' experience
