Title: GIS Data Analyst
Location: 3712 Jackson Ave, Austin, TX 78731
Duration: 12 Months with possible extension
Last date for submission: January 20, 2022 (2.30 PM-CST)

Note: Remote allowed until COVID-19 situation settles. If the resource is in Austin area, current requirement is to be in the office a minimum of once a week.

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:
Add the TxDOT work to be accomplished: One (1) full time contract staff member for the period of one year to facilitate the development of a Statewide GIS training program and implementation plan. Training coordinator will assist with documenting and prioritizing training requests, assist district and division staff subject matter experts with developing training materials and content, and identify training opportunities to be communicated to GIS users across the agency. Materials, courses, and guides will be documented in a GIS knowledge library.

4 This position is seeking a Geospatial professional with cartographic and data analysis skills using the Esri product suite. Position will perform intermediate to complex GIS data development, integration, and analysis. Position will produce maps, graphics, data extracts/deliverables, and reports/process documentation. Position will require coordination with other agency staff. Position will support TxDOT users through service requests and ticketing, as well as participation on project teams to meet specific objectives. Daily tasks include geographic information systems (GIS) data integration, analysis, development, design, and deployments of geospatial applications and systems for multi-disciplinary transportation teams.
x Collaboration with statewide transportation teams including discovery, solutioning, and troubleshooting geospatial needs
x Create, maintain, and update GIS databases, cartographic products
x Develop custom tools, applications, and dashboards utilizing ESRI software, Python, HTML, JavaScript, SQL and other languages
x Develop and support automation processes between database systems and web environments.
x Utilizes ArcGIS Online and Portal for ArcGIS to create, maintain, update feature services and web mapping applications
x Provides support, coordination, and advice in the development, implementation, and maintenance of geospatial projects and programs
Coordination and communication with vendor teams

2 Microsoft Product Suite including SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
