About the Role:

We are seeking a mid-level Associate (ideally 3rd - 5th year) to join our Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Patent Prosecution Practice Group. The role involves working on high-impact, cutting-edge patent matters in collaboration with one of the most respected Intellectual Property teams in the country.


Responsibilities:

  • Draft and prosecute U.S. and foreign patent applications

  • Manage a patent docket for a variety of clients

  • Advise clients on patent strategy, portfolio development, and due diligence

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends


Requirements:

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 3 years in patent preparation and prosecution

    • Prior law firm, engineering, or tech industry experience preferred

  • Education:

    • Undergraduate or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Physics

  • Licensing:

    • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

    • Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction of intended office

    • USPTO registration required


Preferred Technical Exposure:

Experience in patent prosecution involving one or more of the following:

  • Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence / Neural Networks

  • Radio Frequency (RF) Circuitry

  • Hardware or Communications Security (e.g., encryption/decryption)
