Firewall Engineer (Palo Alto) 100% Remote

Responsibilities

Dynamic Routing configuration and troubleshooting
Packet level review and analysis for troubleshooting and design
Rule design
NAT rule design
Firewall log and flow reviews using an observability platform observability dashboard creation a plus
Intrusion Detection & Prevention
Customer firewall rule add/modifications/changes
Noncompliant rule remediation
Firewall rule migration
Subject matter expert (SME) with a solid network security background and hands on experience with GlobalProtect VPN [Prisma Access cloud and NGFWs]
Experience in building, migrating & supporting enterprise VPN platforms and systems for Desktop (macOS, Windows) & Mobile (iOS, Android), and/or SASE based solutions by test driving proof of concept and deployment of security solutions

Preferred Skills

3-5 years in network security engineering
Minimum or 2+ years of hands on Palo Alto FW engineering
Specialized Palo Alto engineer with hands on management, design, implementation, and deployment experience
Enterprise experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting VPN technologies (Palo Alto, f5 BIGIP APM)
Practical knowledge on IPSec tunnels and encryption, VPCs, VRF, TCP/IP, OSI model, IPv6, cloud based network security architecture, VPN deployment strategies & migrations, data traffic manipulation, Proxy, Load Balancers, DNS /
