Title: Enterprise Platform Engineer Duration: 1 Year + Location: Reston, Virginia Job Description CGI has an immediate need for a Enterprise Platform Engineer to join our financial services team in Reston, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest leaders in the secondary mortgage industry. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field AWS Certification(s) desired Your future duties and responsibilities As an Enterprise system engineer , you will be required to develop/support enterprise-level applications like Axway API, B2B, and AWS cloud-based artifacts like EC2 SSM, ALB, Lambda, etc. Designs, develops, tests, implements, and maintains complex integration solutions with limited direction. Act as an expert in the areas of API Integration technologies, quality control and auditing of information, including working directly with developers and clients to resolve specific integration issues Provide ongoing technical training for less experienced teammates, and mentor developers in API Integration methodologies and technologies. Operate as an essential member of the API Scrum team. Engage with the developer community and (internal) integration team. Advice on and develop connections to general infrastructure. Troubleshoot, Support, test events and reported issues Help improve the API Scrum by refining the definition of done, ways of working and other processes used by the team to improve velocity. Work with support organization to achieve excellence in issue management, resolution, and general technical support, including communication flow issue and processing flow problem determination, troubleshooting, and customer interaction. Required qualifications to be successful in this role 7+ years of experience as a systems engineer Enterprise platform engineering, administration and maintenance Experience with AWS cloud implementations and automation. Preferred Proficiency in Cloud technologies. AWS Solutions Architect and/or AWS Developer Certification(s) Familiarity with both traditional and emerging system architectures (e.g., three-tier, web services, micro-services, etc Ability to automate workflows through scripting or other technologies such as Ansible. Demonstrated understanding of IT management, administration, applications and system development lifecycles within a substantial IT environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience in Engineering, deploying, and supporting enterprise-level Applications Desired qualifications Application development experience preferred in one or more high-level languages
