The Loudoun County Treasurer's Office is currently seeking highly qualified applicants for an IT Engineer II. The position supports the Treasurer's Office with administering the County's tax system. This position will support the design, development, implementation, and analysis of the County's tax system.
In addition, the IT Engineer II responsibilities include:
- Providing documentation and technical specifications to senior staff for planning and implementing new upgrades of IT infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting hardware and software errors.
- Documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems and assessing impact of issues.
- Installing and upgrading computer components and software.
- Providing desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
- Complies with County and Department procedures, federal/state laws, and various regulations applicable to the position.
The IT Engineer II should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, C++, and HTML.
- Experience using programming languages such as SQL, C++, and HTML.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficient in math.
- Excellent multi-tasking skills.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft applications.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Hiring Range: $66,638.24-$91,627.58, commensurate with experience.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; two (2) years of related work experience in operations management, network engineering, systems development, enterprise systems management, budgeting, automation, and administration; or equivalent combination of education, experience, and certifications.
Normal working hours are Monday thru Friday from 8:30AM to 5:00PM with mandatory overtime during tax deadlines.
