Bill Rate: $85/hour C2C
Location: Hartford, CT
Duration: 12+ months/ long-term
Interview Criteria: Telephonic + Zoom

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer to join our growing technology team. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on enterprise-level web applications and full-stack development while providing technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the design, development, and support of enterprise web applications and full-stack solutions.

    • Serve as a technical leader and mentor, guiding software engineers and ensuring best practices across the team.

    • Collaborate with IT and product stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, secure technical solutions.

    • Drive adoption of modern development patterns, DevOps practices, and service integrations.

    • Contribute to agile release trains and cross-functional agile teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

    • Expertise in C# and .NET technologies, REST APIs, SQL Server, and client-side frameworks.

    • Strong background in enterprise application architecture, UML modeling, and package management.

    • Proven experience in DevOps practices and modern CI/CD pipelines.

    • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

    • Demonstrated ability to adapt to evolving technologies and business models.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Agile methodologies, SAFe framework, and release train participation.

  • Knowledge of ITIL processes including asset, incident, change, and problem management.

  • Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.

  • Prior experience in the Property & Casualty Insurance domain.
