DevOps Engineer San Jose, California 3+ Months Our team build and manages the observability/monitoring platform for internal clients - primarily the GIS team. We help with data collection from our infrastructure for intrusion detection efforts. This involves deploying our collection agents across the infrastructure, ensuring coverage of the agents, ensuring that the data pipelines are working as expected and adding new features (as required) We are looking for some help in these areas. We need someone with a mix of engineering (coding) and devops (debugging, remediating, building automation, etc. The skills required are: BS or MS degree in computer science, software engineering 5-8 years in building highly scalable distributed systems Proficiency in at least one scripting language - Linux Shell Script, Python etc. GoLang experience is required Strong knowledge of Linux kernel and troubleshooting Experience in automating large-scale deployments with modern software configuration management tools (SALT preferred) Experience with monitoring systems (Elastic stack; FileBeat and AuditBeat) is highly desirable Good verbal & written communication skills and proven ability to collaborate across teams and organizations Self-starter with the ability to work independently Required Skills: Linux Kernel Development, GoLang, Exposure to Monitoring Tools and DevOps
