Responsibilities
Participate in Business Requirements reviews and work with systems analysts/developers/Data scientist to fully test application changes.
· Conduct deep technical analysis/testing of release in plan to conduct validation and verification of entire application.
· Understand the functional specification and scope of releases to design robust testing harness to ensure the quality delivery
· Conduct proof-of-concept projects to validate new feature sets.
· Write complex SQL queries for retrieval of required from multi-database environment. (Strong knowledge of Big data/No SQL database required
· Ability to execute all phases of the testing process in a multi-server environment. Requires the ability to define and maintain testing environments and/or configuration.
· Coordinates activities with Project Manager and Core project team.
· Hands on UNIX knowledge to write and execute commands would be preferred. Ability to write scripts to run instructions in an automated fashion would be a plus.
· Develop & execute test scripts, test conditions, input test data, and expected results for one or more test nlans including component assembly annlication and integration product, performance, user acceptance and technical architecture tests
· Ability to maintain individual testing machines with required software, and
connectivity configuration.
· Ability to translate business needs into high level test designs and user acceptance
testing requirements.
· Articulate and effective communicator and presenter, able to describe complex problems and solutions in simple or understandable terms.
Requirements
· Master''s degree in STEM with 3+ years OR Bachelor''s degree in STEM with 5+ years
· 3+ years of minimum experience with Quality Assurance in a Big Data & Data Warehouse environment.
· Minimum 2+ year Experience working on Big Data / Data Lake solutions (Hadoop, AWS
· Experience in testing of data science/Machine Learning projects
· Good understanding of Supervised and Un-supervised Machine Learning models
· Experience with one or more cloud services (AWS, MS Azure)
· Testing experience using SQL, NoSQL, graph-based, Key/Value stores, Python and/or R for complex test data manipulation, test data statistical analysis. –
· Testing experience in data visualizations and interpretation using data visualization tools (eg Tableau, Power BI
· Familiarity with common Linux/Unix command line tasks and version control software like git or svn preferable.
· Experience with Agile Methodology/Scrum Development and DevOps and their associated tools (Jenkins, Jira and SVN)
· Knowledge of Cloudera CDH v5.15 or higher environment is plus.
· Knowledge of how data science tools such as Cloudera Workbench, R Studio Anaconda, H20, MicroStrategy leverage data throughout the big data ecosystem is highly desired
· History of solving difficult testing problems using a creative approach highly preferred
· Ability to communicate and present the work effectively and influence others.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and shift gears quickly
· Experience in the health insurance industry preferred.
