| Duties: |
| Resolves data quality problems, and collaborates with database developers to improve systems and database designs. |
| Performing statistical tests on large datasets to determine data quality and integrity. |
| Evaluating system performance and design, as well as its effect on data quality. |
| Collaborating with business users, application owners, and database developers to improve data collection and storage processes. |
| Running data queries to identify coding issues and data exceptions, as well as cleaning data. |
| Gathering data from primary or secondary data sources to identify and interpret trends. |
| Reporting data analysis findings to management to inform business decisions and prioritize information system needs. |
| Documenting processes and maintaining data records, Adhering to best practices in data analysis and collection. |
| Keeping abreast of developments and trends in data quality analysis and proactively improving the quality of reporting |
| Strong project management skills in order to manage daily operations or oversee information technology personnel. |
| Educational Experience: |
| A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline. A Master's Degree is preferred. |
| Experience: |
| At least 12+ years of experience with Data Management, Data Governance or Data Quality |
Proven experience of having worked on and data quality skills in:
Data Profiling, quality rules definition and automation
Data discovery
Data quality measurement and metric generation, and aggregation into quality performance indicators
All aspects of data quality management including a full end to end data quality implementation
Information chain analysis and management
Root cause analysis
Cost benefit analysis and ROI discovery |
| Proficiency in programming languages, including Structured Query Language (SQL) and JavaScript. |
| In-depth knowledge of statistical methods and tests. |
| Advanced experience with statistical packages, such as MS Excel, SAS, and SPSS |
| Exceptional analytical skills. Advanced problem-solving skills. |
| Knowledge of best practices in data analysis. |
| Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. |
| Experience of Data Quality and Data Matching Rules |
| Performance Tuning or DBA experience is a plus |
| Business Analysis and Scoping of Client Requirements and Deliverables |
| Worked in an Agile SCRUM environment |
| Experience using data governance tools such as: Informatica |
| Experience in partnering with a diverse team in multiple locations |
| Preference for recognised data quality certification e.g. IQCP, CIMP, ISO 8000 |
