DATA ANALYST
C2H AFTER 6-MONTHS
RESPONSIBILITIES.
Support cross-functional analyses and initiatives for the Small Commercial Insurance division
Assemble data from multiple sources including underwriting, claims, actuarial, and product databases to create integrated views that can be easily consumed to drive decision making
Work closely with IT data team to validate data changes
Analyze and report third party data quality metrics
Identify, profile and analyze data from different sources to support business needs
Handle ad-hoc report requests
TECHNICAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE.
3+ years in a data analysis role
Strong knowledge of Excel & SQL
Knowledge of relational databases, data structures & relationships
Experience with visualization tools
PERSONAL SKILLS.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work product
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to successfully execute in a demanding, fast paced environment that will require flexibility, a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed
EDUCATION / OTHER.
Four-year college degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Engineering or other related educational background
Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Qlikview, Microsoft BI or Cognos is a plus
Prior experience in Property & Casualty insurance is a plus
