Title: CyberSecurity Analyst
Location: 3712 Jackson Ave, Austin, TX 78731
Duration: 12 Months with possible extension
Rate: $80/hr on W2 all inclusive(without any benefits) or $90/hr on C-C all inclusive
Last date for submission: December 8, 2021 (2.00 PM-CST)
Note: Remote allowed until COVID-19 situation settles. Working remotely is accepted in accordance with TxDOT’s policies. If the resource is in Austin area, current expectation is to come to the office at least once a week.
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:
Work involves planning, implementing, and monitoring security measures using the NIST Risk Management Framework and Texas security frameworks for information systems and infrastructures. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
DUTIES
x Performs risk assessments and reviews of account permissions, computer data access needs, security violations, and programming changes.
x Supports the implementation of computer system security plans with agency personnel and outside vendors
x Develops plans to safeguard computer configuration and data files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure and to meet emergency data processing needs.
x Monitors and maintains systems and procedures to protect data systems and databases from unauthorized access.
x Researches systems and procedures for the prevention, detection, containment, and correct of data security breaches.
x Assists in designing and deploying security applications and infrastructure program activities.
x May develop information technology disaster recovery and business continuity planning
x Performs related work as assigned.
WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum (Required):

1-3 Knowledge of common information security management frameworks such as the NIST Risk Management Framework, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and Texas Information Security Standards
