Description: The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is currently seeking exceptional individuals to join the Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse Team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly skilled team and contribute to a critical and highly visible project within the Executive Office of Health and Human Services.
We are seeking self-starters who are highly motivated, efficient, professional, communicative, and able to contribute to the team on day one. As a BI developer on our team, you will participate in the development of Tableau Analytical Dashboards, Workbooks, KPI's, Extracts and Cognos Framework Manager Models, reports, cubes, and implementation of overall BI solutions.
 
REQUIRED SKILLS (Special Skill Set, Abilities, Knowledge):
Advanced knowledge of reports performance optimization; Perform Development and support activities across a multi-environment Tableau.
Experience with creation of users, groups, projects, workbooks and the appropriate permission sets for Tableau server logons and security checks
Demonstrated expertise in developing and operating Tableau-driven dashboards and analytics
The ability to query and show massive data sets while optimizing workbook performance
Strong DW-BI Skills; Data modeling and advanced Reporting experience
Extensive experience in Cognos & Tableau portal functionality
Experience in development of Framework Manager Models, Query Packages and Report studio Reports
Extensive Knowledge in Oracle, SQL Server SQL writing skills
Strong problem solving & analytical skills
Knowledge of ETL & Snowflake Concepts
 
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Years' Experience, Certificates):
BS in Computer Science, related degree, or equivalent experience
Cloud (AWS and Azure) Technologies and Storage
Expert level skills in the following suite of data analysis and visualization tools: Data Extraction languages such as SQL. Proficiency with relational databases or Big Data platforms and Data Visualization packages (Tableau, Cognos etc.).
Extraordinary analytical skills, coupled with the ability to form hypotheses and draw meaningful insights from disparate data sources. The ability to understand data, process it, extract value from it, visualize it and communicate insights to audiences of various backgrounds, including senior management
Experience with TOAD is preferred.
Experience with Medicaid or Health care data is preferred
