Responsibilities
Experience of at least 3-4 years on the Azure platform with particular reference to the use of IaaS and PaaS services, including:
Azure Service Bus
Azure Functions
Azure Service Fabric
Azure Logic App
Api Management
Blob/Table Storage
Contribute to the design and deployment of enterprise-wide scalable, highly available, secure, and reliable platforms and architecture on Azure full-stack
Provide Azure Cloud Platform engineer services to plan, analyze, design, build, test, and deploy enterprise technology infrastructures and services in the Microsoft Azure Public Cloud as per project specifications and needs
Collaborate across different areas within business and technology to create a clear and cohesive vision to drive future state Microsoft Azure Cloud
Maintain awareness of industry trends and technologies, recommending timely adjustments to strategies as appropriate
Contribute to the development of the Multi Cloud Strategy by using knowledge of current state and a future vision of public and private cloud technologies as benefits the needs of Vanguard
Assist with the development of and management of Azure Engineer governance process and contributes to governance decisions around Multi cloud management
Experience Requirements
5+ years experience designing and implementing solutions that use a cloud-based architecture in public cloud platforms, including strong familiarity with cloud security, infrastructure, scalability, operations, etc.
Has previously architected cloud-native solutions and API-based systems.
Experience with APIM (or related technology) and Azure Functions (or other serverless compute tools).
Hands-on expertise crafting and developing cloud native applications and migrating existing applications to the commercial cloud (preferably Azure).
Experience with a fully automated CI/CD pipeline.
Up-to-date knowledge of standard methodologies (12-factor app) and industry-standard design patterns for loosely coupled applications.
Enthusiasm for hands-on work (if needed) to support proof of concepts and guide development teams.
Technical/Functional Skills
Application stack ADF, APIM, app services, API services, micro services, event based and message-based frameworks.
Familiarly with storage mechanisms (ADLS, blob, SQL, No-SQL)
Familiar with Infrastructure concerns like scalability, high availability, gateways, load balancers, traffic manager, replication techniques.
Comprehensive understanding of authorization, authentication, on-premise AD integration, and synchronization with Azure AD.
Understanding of standard methodologies around caching, encryption, hashing on applications and data.
Hands-on experience in designing and developing micro-service-based applications using .NET Core, cloud native applications, and moving to commercial cloud (such as Azure).
Familiarity with web services: REST, SOAP (nice to have)
Familiarity with other tools including Git on Azure DevOps
