AWS Architect Dallas, TX FULL TIMEA Cloud Architect is responsible for working with clients to develop the architecture and design that will guide how a client''s technology footprint is moved or developed on one or more of the large Cloud platforms. Cloud Architects are also responsible for bridging the gaps between complex business problems and solutions in the cloud. They are responsible for justifying the ROI for cloud investments and articulating the benefits of building or moving to the cloud. Other members of a technology team, including DevOps engineers and developers, work with the Cloud Architect to ensure that the right technology or technologies are being built. The role will typically be consultative role, working with multiple project teams in a single or a group of programs for clientsKey Responsibilities on assignments:1. Assess and evaluate a portfolio or a new program and build a target architecture and roadmap for migrating or developing this on the cloud2. Define the provisioning requirements for the cloud platform across Networking, Computing with a combination of CaaS, PaaS or Serverless and storage3. Define cloud platform components and services to run the different aspects of the target payload4. Define the key constructs for building the cloud platforms across shared and application specific services including5. Define and prescribe the security structure and operations for managing the cloud target6. Automate infrastructure and build pipelines for continuous integration and continuous deploymentKey Requirements1. Over 12 years of progressively increasing responsibility in direct technology roles2. 7+ year of leadership experience3. Deep knowledge of AWS cloud platform and services - should have worked on AWS for over 5 years. Should have had hands on experience with common AWS services such as Amazon VPC, ELB, EC2, S3, Redshift, Route 53, Amazon Cloud Gateway4. Deep understanding of software design patterns like 12 Factor Application methodology5. UNIX and Linux experience with deep experience in Scripting6. Knowledge of DevOps tools and methodologies. Hands on experience with Git, Jenkins, Jira, Puppet or Chef or Ansible, CloudFormation and/or Terraform, Repositories like Artifactory, Code quality and security tools like SonarQube / Fortify /Chekmarx7. In depth knowledge on Docker and Kubernetes with hands on skills on AKS8. Proficiency in Java / Python9. Knowledge of commonly deployed cross cutting application monitoring and management tools such as Grafana/Prometheus/Splunk etc.
