Job Title: Automation Engineer (Cloud)
Location: 100% remote, in the US
Duration: 6 month contract-to-hire
Start Date: ASAP
Interview Process/Times: 1 st round with CTO and VP of Software Engineering, 2 nd round with the team (3 engineers), 3 rd round with Founder/CEO
Must Haves / Notes from Manger:
Experience deploying to the cloud and automating
Scripting experience
1-3 years of cloud experience (currently use AWS but any cloud experience is OK)
Ability to make recommendations for cloud deployments
Desired, not required skills: Node, Rest APIs
Day to Day:
Deploying to the cloud and automating deployments
Scripting
Monitoring
~10% or less-talking to customers and working with them on deployments (knowing Rest APIs and Node for this would be a plus)

Position Overview:
You will w ork in tandem with the company's engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company. The successful candidate will define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance; You will also ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful design while building and establishing new development tools and infrastructure. The successful candidate will build and set up new development tools and infrastructure, and work on ways to automate and improve development and release processes. Duties:
D evelop and implement technical efforts to design, build, and deploy cloud-based applications
Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle for cloud solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance
Troubleshoot incidents, identify root cause, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures
Employ exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity
Investigate and resolve technical issues
Participate in the sales process to implement client environments
Work with customers to ensure proper adherence to best practices on deployments
Preferred Qualifications :
3 or more years' experience in the following:
Architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms
Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of business analysts, developers, data scientists, customers, and subject matter experts
Proficient with git and git workflows
Problem-solving attitude
Collaborative team spirit
AWS certifications are a plus
GCP/Azure experience
Knowledge of web services, API, REST, and RPC
Experience with customer support
Proficient in GoLang, Node.js, and/or PostgreSQL
