Next Generation Connected Digital Transformation program with a goal to transform our HMH Business Systems to support our go forward operations and digital aspirations. Implementation of Anaplan for FP&A and Demand Planning is a key workstream in this program.
Principal Attributes:This role is responsible for managing the relationship between the development teams, business, and our Anaplan System Integrator partner for translating business capability requirements into effective development plans and deliveries for the implementation of Anaplan for Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and Demand Planning Workstreams. Legacy Remediation (including environment planning), Data and Analytics, and Systems Integration project[C(1] workstreams. This role s duties entail the following:
Duties & Responsibilities - Coordinate and manage delivery of Anaplan for FP&A and Demand Planning in partnership with HMH Business & IT teams, Next Gen PMO and Systems Integrator partner.
- Creation and management of environment plans and working with respective Business/IT teams to ensure required environments are available per overall Program timeline.
- Collaborate with Business Process Owners and Leads, providing technology input to the product idea and vision and prioritization while assessing the impact on resources and deliverables.
- Collaborate with other HMH Business/IT technical teams to coordinate/track their efforts to plan and execute technical activities to implement Anaplan in alignment with overall Next Gen timeline.
- Build and support great agile teams, ensuring excellence and efficiency in team staffing, process, and tools.
- Work with all teams to make, track, report, and fulfill planning commitments.
- Manage scrum activities for the team including, backlog grooming, planning, standups, and retros
- Empower team and clear potential roadblocks, paving the way for project success
- Responsible for the implementation delivery and quality, from architecture through end user experience.
- Own and manage cross-team technical dependencies.
- Jointly responsible with Product Managers and Owners for the planning and delivery of a high-quality product that meets business and user need
- Manage assigned budget in partnership the Next Gen PMO
Skills & Experience This person is a self-motivated individual with proven Delivery Lead, operational experience and excellent team management and organizational skills who possess:
- Minimum 5 years of experience with a direct responsibility for executing strategic roadmaps
- Bachelor's degree in business, information systems or related discipline, or equivalent and extensive related project experience
- Experience developing and monitoring delivery of efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems.
- Experience working in digital transformation projects either as a program/project manager or Delivery Lead.
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid methodologies as well as strong Jira knowledge/skills[C(2]
- Proven ability to work in a multi-disciplinary and fast-paced environment. Comfortable with quickly changing priorities and a high level of adaptability and flexibility
- Be ready to take initiative with a continuous improvement mind-set
- Detailed oriented and ability to learn and work independently
- Preferred but not necessary: skills/education/experience/working knowledge
- Experience in standing up or managing & implementing FP&A and Demand Planning Solutions (Anaplan Preferred)
- Experience in building out and managing environment plans
