Overview
We are seeking an experienced Aladdin Business Analyst with strong exposure to Private Capital / Private Markets. The ideal candidate will partner with investment, operations, and technology teams to support and enhance Aladdin workflows across private assets, portfolio management, risk, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with investment teams, private capital groups, operations, and technology stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
- Support Aladdin front-to-back processes including order management, portfolio modeling, compliance, risk, and reporting.
- Work specifically with Private Capital workflows such as capital calls, distributions, fund structures, valuations, and private asset data.
- Analyze and map data across private investments, positions, transactions, and market data.
- Lead enhancements, configuration changes, and new module implementations within Aladdin.
- Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with BlackRock Solutions for resolution.
- Prepare BRDs, functional specifications, process flows, and user documentation.
- Conduct UAT, regression testing, and support production releases.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to optimize investment workflows.
- Provide ongoing support and training to end users.
Required Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience as a Business Analyst working with Aladdin (mandatory).
- Strong understanding of Private Capital / Private Markets (e.g., PE, VC, Real Assets, Private Credit).
- Knowledge of investment lifecycle: trade workflows, compliance, risk, performance, and reporting.
- Experience with data analysis, SQL, and advanced Excel.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience in asset management, private equity, or investment operations preferred.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with BlackRock Solutions or Aladdin implementation teams.
- Exposure to IBOR/ABOR processes.
- Knowledge of alternative investment accounting or fund structures.
