Job Title: AI Security Engineer (Generative AI Focused)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AI Security Engineer with a strong background in both artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the security, integrity, and resilience of our AI systems and data. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities, implement robust security controls, and continuously enhance our AI infrastructure's defense mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess AI models, data pipelines, and infrastructure for vulnerabilities and risks.
  • Develop and implement security controls to safeguard AI systems, data, and algorithms.
  • Integrate security best practices into AI project development and deployment lifecycles.
  • Design and maintain authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms.
  • Conduct security testing, monitor systems, and respond to potential security incidents.
  • Stay current with emerging AI and cybersecurity threats and recommend proactive solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT, data science, and engineering teams to ensure secure AI integration.
  • Participate in incident response, risk analysis, and threat mitigation activities.
  • Provide security guidance, documentation, and training to technical teams and stakeholders.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and enforce security protocols tailored for AI and generative models.
  • Monitor AI environments for breaches and investigate any violations or anomalies.
  • Design AI-powered threat detection and prevention mechanisms.
  • Conduct periodic audits and risk assessments of AI systems.
  • Develop and promote security standards and best practices for AI applications.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on securing AI or ML systems.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning techniques, algorithms, and AI frameworks.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Familiarity with security tools, cloud platforms, and containerization technologies.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC.
  • Experience with Generative AI models and LLM security.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud AI security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Understanding of data privacy laws and AI ethics considerations.
