Business Analyst (SharePoint)

Reason for Resource Need:
Senior Business Technical Analyst will be guided by the SharePoint Engagement project manager and work closely on projects and assist with leading the strategic direction of the project. The ideal candidate must have strong communication and thought leadership skills and an experienced background in web technologies. More specifically this role will assist with the execution of a solution design to drive specific action and outcomes relative to key platform initiatives based on the platform strategic direction. The candidate must be a natural change agent, and be able to communicate effectively with technical teams.
Position Description:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Buiness Technical Analyst role will work with alongside the Project Engagement manager to identify business needs and create solutions within the Communications & Collaboration platform suite of tools. This resource must be skilled with gathering and documenting business requirements. They would assist Project Engagement Manager with the end-to-end delivery of these solutions, integrating customer’s standards, external best practices, and consideration for the company culture. The ideal candidate will push to improve the Communications & Collaboration (AccessMcD/SharePoint) platform, working within the standards and policies of the global implementation. This candidate must be versatile, providing value within a wide variety of responsibilities, and comfortable with rapidly changing priorities. This resource must have strong SharePoint skills and demonstrate ability to plan and create sites, lists, and content.

Demonstrates an understanding of project management skills – delivers on-time and within project budget, manages scope, provide regular status reports, and resolves issues quickly.

Expand and optimize current capabilities by implementing Enterprise Edition features, including dashboards, KPIs, and reporting services.
Demonstrates high technology aptitude. Quickly becomes advanced user of technology platforms and applies that knowledge to help others meet business needs.
Experience Required (years & overall competencies):
Proven problem solver in a complex organization (3-5 years)
Strong analytic background with high attention to detail
Strong communication and organization skills - needed to work with project managers, vendors, suppliers, and technology team members
Project management a plus
Technical Skills – Experience with an internet, intranet, or extranet environment required
Experience Preferred:
SharePoint 2013 Online (Office 365) experience
Team / resource management is a plus
Exposure to vendor relationship management
MCSE or SharePoint certifications
Working with complex, highly integrated corporate environment
Required Technology Skills:
Strong collaboration technology skills
Full lifecycle software development experience
Expertise in Content Management using layout templates and publishing
features of SharePoint 2013
Hands-on experience with creating sites and applications in SharePoint 2013 or previous versions, including working with site collections, site definitions, web parts, pages, workflows, content types, metadata, templates, sandbox solutions, and themes
SharePoint Designer experience (3+ years)
