As a Senior Developer Productivity Engineer you will report to the Lead Developer Productivity Engineer and:
Automate time consuming and manual processes to make life better for developers at Earnest by writing high-quality software and implementing modern open source deployment tools.
Build relationships with developers across all of our teams to understand their needs and satisfy them with projects you develop.
Create and analyze metrics to find ways to continuously improve our engineering department with math and data.
We expect you to have:
3+ years of experience as a full-time professional software engineer.
1 or more years of experience with a common scripting language like Python, Ruby, or Javascript.
1 or more years of experience with a relational database like Postgres or MySql.
1 or more years of experience working with a modern cloud platform like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Knowledge of how to use Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment technologies like Jenkins, CircleCI, or TravisCI to build, test, and deploy production applications.
An ability to use containerization/virtualization technologies like Docker or Vagrant to standardize development, test, and production environments.
An empathetic and positive attitude.
The ability to play your part in Agile project management rituals like standup, sprint planning, and sprint review.
