Oracle EBS Technical Lead
Major Activities
Ø The incumbent will be the key focal point in the ongoing stability and maintainability of the applications environments. This covers both the deployed Oracle EBS suite of modules and also the non EBS applications and their associated technical components.
Ø The role is primarily a technical management activity as opposed to providing ‘hands on’ support.
Ø The incumbent will provide both tactical and strategic leadership and direction for the ongoing support and maintenance of the applications environment. This will involve consultation and collaboration with both applications and technical teams, IT management and relevant application & technical vendors.
Ø Work with and co-ordinate the various technical stakeholders and teams involved with the NA applications environments. Key stakeholders include the enterprise infrastructure team both locally and off-shore (NA & India), the applications support and development teams provided by (NA and in India) as well as IT project leaders involved with NA applications.
Ø Represent US Based Applications environment interests in relevant support meetings and project management forums.
Ø Provide technical oversight of applications product and environment management for all application environments covering both Oracle E-Business Suite and others such as Java and Microsoft .NET

Ensure that global technical policies, processes, procedures and tools are utilized and, where appropriate, supplemented as required for:
Development Standards (coding, naming, testing, documentation)
Instance Strategy,
Application Security management,
EBS Technical Change management (approval, migration, tracking),
Application utilities e.g. ftp, error checking, concurrent manager checking.

Key technical stakeholder in the change management process for both EBS and non EBS applications. Review and approve all technical changes proposed for the US based applications production environment i.e.
Application Patches
Upgrades
Releases
Reports
Interfaces
Conversions
Extensions

Ø Provide technical leadership for the NA non-EBS technology stack (i.e. development environments, databases, batch servers, web servers This involves working with internal groups and third parties to ensure that the non-EBS technology stacks are appropriately configured, supported and upgraded.
Ø Define and/or implement process improvement opportunities to strengthen quality, commonality and alignment across the NA Enterprise Applications teams.
Ø Work with both direct team members and other New IT teams to investigate problems down to root cause using standard incident management processes. Document and rectify remediation actions to prevent reoccurrence.
Ø Ensure appropriate methodologies, support processes, and procedures are in place, and key system/quality indicators are measured and, where appropriate, operating within IPS and internal audit standards and conventions.
Ø Pursue continuous learning consistent with the movement in job requirements, changes in technology, and changes in the organization.
