Job Description :
Oracle Data Architect
Location: Raleigh NC
Long term

1. No data warehouse, design warehouse, create and optimize performance
2. ETL will be needed once the database is built

Build a database that is going to last a long time, transfer all the data that they have into this data warehouse that we will build. Currently using a home developed system

Oracle Data Architect [1st October]
1. Lead and guide development of a Star/Snowflake schema based Datamart architecture.
2. Develop solution in highly demanding environment and provide hands on guidance to other team members.
3. Lead complex Datamart requirements and design brainstorming s.
4. Understand the requirements/ KPIs, their granularity and convert it into a DataMart design
5. Assess requirements for completeness and accuracy.
6. Optimize performance, suggest best practices.
7. Work with the IT team to incorporate current standards and practices into the design.
8. Collaborate with development teams and senior designers to develop architectural requirements to ensure client satisfaction.
9. Conduct impact assessment and determine size of effort based on requirements.
10. Develop full SDLC project plans to implement DataMart solution and identify resource requirements.
11. Assist and verify design of solution and production of all design phase deliverables.
12. Mentor developers for implementing best practices of coding & testing.
13. Sound technical knowledge in data modeling and data warehouse.
14. Good domain knowledge in Finance, consumer lending, manufacturing.
Strong understanding of OracleDB for DataMart and staging database designs.
