Title: OpenStack DevOps Engineer

Job Description.
Top 3 Skills to Focus On:
1. OpenStack – Must be developing and architecting, not supporting

3. Automation(Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc
Hands-on experience in Cloud management Operations or SaaS Operations preferred.
Implement operational tools and best practices like deployment, provisioning, monitoring, performance measurement tools etc.
Responsible for performance, availability and scalability of the infrastructure.
An understanding of cloud solution approaches from a technical (infrastructure), service management, financial and sourcing perspective.
Define and lead proof of concepts and pilots to support the use of cloud computing.
Cloud environment administration (Datacenter),
Responsible for Cloud production environment monitoring, performance, release/deployment, security, reliability, availability, capacity, latency, and other non-functional concerns.
This is a 100 % hands on role managing the Cloud administration, application Release management/deployment, tools ownership & meet availability requirements.
Would be a best fit for someone who has come from a traditional Datacenter infrastructure Linux system administration role and has recently moved into a Cloud infrastructure role over the last 5+ year.
Deep hands on experience on Openstack, VMware,Containers – Kubernetes, Docker
Responsibilities
At least 10+ years’ experience in Unix/Linux System Infrastructure Administration in a SaaS or Cloud Operations.
Proven track record with a minimum of 5+ years as Lead System Administrator
Regularly improve the security posture of enterprise systems and network infrastructure
2-3+ years hands on experience in implementation and operationn of Openstack, Docker Containers, Kubernetes, and VMWare ESX / vCenter
5+ years of deep hands on experience with Ubuntu and Centos Linux, KVM, etc large, world-wide deployments required
Experience with Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar tools highly desired
5+ years of deep hands on experience in cloud infrastructure [Compute, Storage & Network]
5+ years of strong hands on background in data centers, networking, virtualization and service management.
Knowledgeable on specific technologies is preferred: DNS, Storage (Netapp, Pure, NFS/NIS), AD/LDAP,Git, Shell scripting, Python scripting
