Junior SQL Server DBA
Responsible for maintaining SQL Server database for production and test applications as per the guidelines and requirements of various applications.
Primary Duties:
Configure, maintain, and support production databases as per application requirements
Perform SQL Server upgrades, develop database queries, applying patches, and monitoring status
Interface with software development teams to resolve database issues including but not limited to scripts, IIS configuration, windows application errors, etc.
Perform administration of SQL Server database engine, SQL Server Analysis Services and Reporting Services, etc.
Ensure database availability and integrity.
Create and modify database objects such as schemas, triggers, tables, etc.
Conduct performance tuning as needed
Support development changes into production
Schedule jobs monitor
Work collaboratively with staff to continually improve operations and service levels.
Skills
Proficient in SQL Server 2017, 2016, 2014, 2012, 2008.
A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in MSSQL databases.
Collaborative and ability to work with cross functional teams.
Excellent knowledge of relational databases like Oracle, MS SQL Server, Sybase
Strong SQL programming skills T-SQL, PL-SQL, Stored procs, Triggers is a must
Ability to understand and interpret data structures, data models & relationships is a must
ETL experience using ETL tools like SSIS, etc. is desired.
Good understanding of and experience working with XML/JSON/RESTful Web Services.
Composite and data virtualization experience is a plus.
