We are seeking an ETL Architect/Administrator to join our team and support our client inWashington, DC. The candidate should have experience using best practices to design and develop IBM DataStage domains, workflows (ETL) and error reports. A solid understanding of IBM DataStage is essential for this position as well as a proven ability to work quickly and independently and to provide professional documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for installing/configuring/upgrading security related software such as IBM Guardium for data encryption
Responsible for installing/configuring/upgrading the IBM IIS Suite of products in an AWS environment
Responsible for performing administration tasks related to the IBM InfoSphere Information Server (IIS), DataStage and QualityStage
Responsible for working with IBM in resolving any tool specific issues.
Collaborates with business and other technical groups
Works with the team to design, develop and deliver data solutions using IBM IIS-DataStage and QualityStage
Will work with the team that develops new routines for ETL performance optimization, monitoring and logging of ETL jobs
Monitors ETL completions and logs and provide status of data loading and perform ETL failure recovery when needed
Design and implement the end-to-end ETL Architecture solution
Reviews, analyze and identify gaps in business requirements and functional requirements documents
Provides technical support for issues including hands-on troubleshooting and implementing enhancements and customizations
Work with the team to develop and validate integration (ETL) routines, which are needed to pull client data
Document technical and system operation manuals for ETL environment
Work with the team to implement automation of ETL processing using Unix Shell Scripts
Work Experience:
7+ years'' ETL experience using IBM DataStage (IBM Infosphere Information Server)
5+ years'' hands on experience with administration, installation, and configuration of IBM IIS
Experience setting up and using IBM Guardium
Familiarity working with SAS program and datasets
Experience working in AWS or other cloud environment
Strong Unix Shell Scripting experience
Hands-on experience designing and implementing ETL programs
Experience in integration of various data sources like Oracle, Flat Files, XML files and other data sources
Job Skills:
Hands-on knowledge of DB2 database
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
Education:
Bachelor''s Degree is required
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written skills, ability to present proposals and performance data, comfortable interfacing all levels of organization
Ability to write clear and concise creative content in a highly confidential manner
Travel:
Willing to travel occasionally as needed
Environmental Requirements:
