Our client is seeking a Front-End Developer for a 6-12 month contract to hire opportunity located in Plano, TX. The client is a rapidly expanding small business offering big opportunities to non-traditional candidates
Key Skills :
Bootstrap, JavaScript HTML5, CSS3, SASS, RESTful APIs, writing code in C# / ASP. NET, Azure and DevOps knowledge is preferred
Successful candidates have a minimum of five years of demonstrated experience in Bootstrap, JavaScript HTML5, and CSS3 to take products from design to completion. If you know how to creatively use SASS they won’t think the LESS of you. Candidate’s experiences will also include interfacing web applications with RESTful APIs and include writing code in C# / ASP. NET. Candidates who aren’t self-motivated and require micro-management need not apply. Azure and DevOps knowledge is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Create innovative solutions to variety of web design problems
Make existing products more visually appealing and enhance their usability
Implement responsible web design principles to ensure the company’s products will render well across multiple devices and browsers
Assist in the development of applications and features that will be put on the website and in internal functions as well
Analyze requirements and plan future web application upgrades with the development team
Participate as primary, co and/or contributing author on any and all project deliverables associated with their assigned areas of responsibility
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
History of successfully implementing business requirements with design elements to create front-end web-based user interfaces.
Experience in designing front-end UI frameworks and/or bootstrap themes that are capable of evolving with the needs of the company
Knowledge of SOLID principles
Ability to build clean HTML code, utilizing latest, creative CSS techniques in Visual Studio and in other editors
Excellent design and visual composition skills with a solid understanding of color and layout
Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering highly-polished web-based prototypes under tight time constraints
Having expertise in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SASS/LESS, JQuery, C#, REST, JSON, Blazer, and API development
Ability to rapidly iterate through design layouts and prototype
Is proactive to solve issues and can meet commitments
Able to Interact with Business Stakeholders/Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) who will guide the software development
Thrive when given a wide degree of creativity and latitude
Willingness to learn new skills, technologies and methodologies
Be able to commute to and work daily from the GuestX home office.
Aware of Agile/Scrum principles and experience working with Agile methodologies
Experience developing iOS apps
Proficiency with: Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Invision and other graphic and design tools
. NET Core, Azure development, serverless architecture experience
Angular / React / or Vue experience
Solid understanding of unit testing concepts and frameworks
Experience developing solutions that incorporate AI algorithms
Proficient knowledge of using code versioning tools like GIT and/or VSTS
Familiarity with continuous build / continuous integration
Knowledge of SQL, Node. js, Typescript, Python and other modern development languages
Excellent Communication is a MUST
