Experiences with developing, deploying and architecting Drupal with experience in migration from other platforms.
We are looking for an experienced DevOps professional with Drupal CMS experience to assist our team in a conversion from another CMS, and to help improve the performance, stability and scalability of one of Optum’s most important applications. In this position, you will help to implement Drupal, help improve CI/CD pipelines and migrate the deployment between hosting environments and platforms.
A keen attention to detail, curiosity, problem-solving abilities, and direct experience with common tools and practices in the DevOps and Cloud space is essential. Experience with common enterprise architecture and engineering practices, ITIL/ITSM are highly desirable.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work directly with the current DevOps team to assist in deploying Drupal and migrating from the existing systems
Design and build the patterns for Drupal CMS architecture, infrastructure and administrative practices
Design CI/CD pipelines and workflows that enable automated application delivery and support in the datacenter, hosted PaaS, and across Cloud Providers
Develop tests and automation systems to ensure consistency, reliability, and resiliency
Build and test automation tools for infrastructure and application provisioning (Ansible, Jenkins, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure etc
Handle code deployments in all environments through production
Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve visibility through instrumentation
Provide technical guidance and training to team members and coworkers alike (demo-days, advancing existing capabilities)
Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improvement delivery practices
Consult with peers and stakeholders through all stages of development
Develop and improve CI/CD tools and practices
Document and design processes, develop patterns
Improve infrastructure development and application development
Follow all best practices and procedures as established by company
Requirements and Qualifications:
High school degree or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in CS, engineering, software engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
4+ years of experience with Drupal content management system, with experience in other CMS platforms a plus
4+ years previous experience in development and operations, or related IT, computer, or operations field
4+ years of experience with Linux infrastructures, Kubernetes, Database (SQL/NoSQL), CI/CD tools, scripting such as Python, Perl, Ruby, PowerShell, automation tooling such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt
2+ Experience with cloud providers – primarily Azure and AWS
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years in enterprise organizations
Previous experience with software development, infrastructure development, or development and operations
Understanding and application of Agile concepts such as Scrum/Kanban/SAFe, Agile workflow methodologies
Up-to-date on latest industry trends; able to articulate
Good interpersonal skills and communication, able to effectively communicate up to and especially with senior leadership
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
